Khao Phad Ta Lay
( Mixed Seafood Fried Rice )




Ingredients:

steamed rice 2 cups.
boiled squid, cleaned and cut into pieces 70 g. (2 oz.)
boiled prawns, cleaned and with back vein removed 6
boiled crab, cleaned and chopped 70 g. (2 oz.)
garlic, finely chopped 2 teaspoons
spring onion, finely chopped 1 tablespoon
tomato, cut into small pieces 1
bell pepper, cut into small pieces 1
onion, cut into pieces 1
white soy sauce 3 tablespoons
sugar 1 teaspoon
vegetable oil 2 tablespoons

 
1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Saute garlic in hot oil until golden.
2. Add crab, prawns, and squid. Fry for approximately 15-20 seconds. Add rice, onion, bell pepper, spring onion, and tomatoes. Fry for another 10-15 seconds.
3. Season with white soy sauce and sugar. Increase the heat to high, and fry for another 5 seconds. Remove from the heat.
4. When serving, sprinkle with ground pepper and chopped spring onions.


Fried rice is normally served with fresh cucumber slices, lime slices, spring onions and Nam Pla Phrik (chillies in fish sauce )
