Day:
Here is one of the Thai
favorite main dish.
Stir Fried Beef with chili
(Nua Pad
Prig)
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo tender beef, sirloin or tenderloin, trimmed and cut
into bite size pieces
5-7 red hot chili
2 tablespoons chopped onion
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
half tablespoon Nampla ( Fish-sauce)
1 cup carrots cut into matchsticks
(optional)
2 red chili cut into strips
5 sprigs celery leaves
(optional)
2 tablespoons oil
Method:
Pound together
chili, onion and garlic until it becomes paste.
In a wok heat oil over medium high heat.
Stir-fry paste until fragrant.
Add sliced beef and oyster sauce. Stir- fry constantly until
beef are no longer pink.
Add nampla (fish sauce), carrots and celery sprigs. Stir-
fry until carrots are tender but crisp. Remove to serving
plate.
