Live-In Caregiver Certificate Program
12 months full time, plus a 6-months paid internship

professional who wishes to
live and
work in Canada?
Foreign live-in caregivers who have completed a minimum of two years
employment in Canada may apply in Canada to become a permanent
resident. However, before applying to work as a Live-In Caregiver in
Canada, you will need proper training. |

Live-in Caregiver Program was designed to meet the growing demand for live-in
work in Canada. A Live-In Caregiver is someone who provides care to
children, the elderly, or the disabled while living in their private
household. We offer a high quality Live-in Caregiver Program which
trains and prepares international students to meet all the
requirements they need to qualify for employment as a live-in
caregiver in Canada. |
The Live-in Caregiver Program consists of
four components:

Health Care Aide Certification |

English Language Training (ESL) |
|
Canadianization (Canadian Cultural Awareness) |
|
The Internship
The Internship
Following one year of
classroom and campus laboratory training, the student is placed in a
6-month paid internship. This internship is part of the program, and
allows the student the opportunity to apply the knowledge they
learned to a real-life setting. Formal training, together with
practical, hands-on experience will give you the expertise necessary
to succeed in your career as a Live-In Caregiver. |

In order to enroll in The Live-In Caregiver
Program, you must meet the following criteria:

Be a minimum of 19 years of age
|

Hold a post-secondary education degree or
diploma from your country (minimum Canadian Grade 12 equivalent) |
|
Demonstrate an ability to write and speak
English through a personal interview with the OMNI Admissions
Department
|
|
Pass the personal interview with the OMNI
Admissions Department |
|
Provide proof of recently obtained TB test
showing a negative result |
|
Provide a copy of your clear Criminal
Record Check from your country of residence. |
