RN Licensure Preparation Program (for Foreign-trained Nurses)

RN Licensure Preparation Program
12 months full time, plus a 6-months paid internship
Tuition: $17,000 CDN, plus a non-refundable $200 application fee

If you have been trained as a Registered Nurse in another country, and would like to work as a Nurse in Canada, the RN Licensure Preparation Program is the right course for you. The program was designed to upgrade your skills to meet Canadian standards and language in preparation of taking the Canadian RN Licensure exam. Following the completion of this program, you will be more prepared to take the RN exam and achieve a passing grade*.

Statistics have shown that the majority of foreign-trained Registered Nurses who come to Canada and take the RN Exam have failed. Even though these nurses are qualified health care professionals in their own country, the reasons for failure in Canada have been predominantly the language/comprehension barrier, the difference in nursing standards, and difficulty in cultural adaptation. OMNI College responded to this situation by designing a program to help each of these issues.

The RN Licensure Preparation Program is made up of 4 components:

bullet

English for Nursing Purposes - Level 1

bullet

English for Nursing Purposes - Level 2

bullet

The RN Licensure Exam Preparation Course

bullet

The Internship

*Note: successful completion of this program does not guarantee a passing grade on the RN Licensure Exam.
